A message from the principal:

Greetings Parish Families,

St. Thomas Aquinas Academy is off to a great start this year! We are very excited to welcome both faculty and students for another wonderful school year.

I am happy to announce that we are moving forward with our technology at STAA. Our teacher computers have been upgraded to iPads for use in their classrooms. This will give the teachers and office an enormous boost in our capabilities in terms of record keeping, attendance, classroom instruction, and assessment. The teachers are eager to begin utilizing the many programs available to facilitate student achievement.

Our middle school has departmentalized this year, meaning that each middle school teacher focuses on their specialized subject content. Students from grades 5-8 will switch classes each morning between the four core subjects. This is to boost responsibility, monitor and track student progress more efficiently, and prepare them for high school.

Needless to say, our teachers have worked very hard this summer and I am proud to have them all on our staff. We are looking for parent volunteers for lunch room and lunch recess supervision among other responsibilities. If you are interested, please contact the school office.

Thank you for your continued support of our wonderful school. Your contributions of time, funds, and prayers are a major part of why we continue to be a school that stands out in our area.

God Bless,

Dan Heding
